Kamikochi is in the Northern Japan Alps, Nagano Prefecture. Very beautiful, mountainous
It is open for visitors roughly from mid-April to mid-November. Outside that, services are limited or closed due to snow.
There are Buses run from Tokyo (Shinjuku, etc.), Nagoya, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagano directly to Kamikochi
