[Chiba] If you want to eat piping hot Katsuura Tantanmen, this is the place to go!

Katsuura City in Chiba Prefecture is home to a local delicacy called Katsuura Tantanmen. You can try their unique versions of tantanmen at various restaurants around the city.

This time, I went to Katsuura Tantanmen Azami, located a little way up the mountain. It's a small restaurant with a self-service ordering and return system.

Since I don't have much tolerance for spicy food, I ordered the mildly spicy tantanmen. The soup, packed with onions, was slightly spicy, almost enough to make me choke when I sipped it. It was piping hot, but had a delicious flavor that made it easy to eat. I also ordered a green onion and pork bowl to go with it. The two came to 1,100 yen!

There are other Katsuura Tantanmen restaurants, so I'm planning to try a few of them!
