Walking tour of Mojiko Port

Mojiko Port, located in Kitakyushu City, just a short distance from Fukuoka, once flourished as an international trading port. Today, it boasts a nostalgic cityscape, with many preserved European-style island buildings dating back to the Meiji period. It's a great day trip by train.
Getting there: Take the Sonic train from Hakata Station to Kokura Station, then transfer to the JR Kagoshima Line and get off at Mojiko Station. The total journey takes approximately 55 minutes. This route is covered by the JR Kyushu Pass.
