Buckingham Palace: A Grand Encounter from the Gates

#hellohalloween

Standing before the entrance of Buckingham Palace, I felt the weight of history and ceremony—even without stepping inside. The gate itself is monumental, adorned with ornate graphic designs and carved pillars that speak of royal tradition and architectural pride. It’s not just a barrier—it’s a statement.

At the doorway stood the iconic red-uniformed guards, stoic and ceremonial, adding a splash of colour against the palace’s stately façade. Their presence alone draws crowds, cameras clicking as tourists gather to capture their moment with royalty—if not the royals themselves.

Unfortunately, I visited during autumn, when the palace’s interior is closed to the public except for specific guided tours. The main entrance is only open during summer months, so I didn’t get to explore the rooms beyond the gate.
