#Seoul Itinerary
Day 1: Historical Footprints of President Park Chung-hee Memorial Hall
Early in the morning, I arrived at the Memorial Hall of President Park Jung-hee in the eastern part of Seoul. The memorial has a simple yet majestic appearance, symbolizing the solid steps in South Korea's modernization process. The museum displays the life story of President Park Chung-hee, from his military career to the key moments in his leadership of the country's economic development, in a clear and detailed manner. I carefully looked at his desk, letters and photos, and felt the hardships and hopes of that era. In the "Economic Miracle" exhibition area, South Korea's history of rapid growth was amazing, and I also had a deeper understanding of the close connection between national development and leader decision-making.
Day 2: Traveling between modernity and tradition in Seoul
The next day, I visited Cheonggyecheon Stream and Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). Cheonggyecheon Stream is a symbol of modernization and ecological restoration. Walking along the riverside, you feel like you are in the green heart of the city. Then we went to Dongdaemun Design Plaza, where the streamlined architecture contrasted sharply with the solemnity of the memorial hall, showing the infinite possibilities of Seoul in the fields of design and creativity. At night, I strolled in Bukchon Hanok Village, feeling the tranquility and elegance of the traditional hanok houses, which brought the two-day journey to a perfect end. The interweaving of history and modernity has given me a lot of insights in this city.
