Yongsan Family Park is a peaceful and family-friendly park located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Once a part of the U.S. military base, this area was transformed in 1992 into a public space where residents and tourists alike can enjoy nature, relaxation, and a touch of history. The park spans over 89,000 square meters and offers a beautiful blend of natural scenery, cultural elements, and modern leisure spaces.
The park features well-maintained walking paths, serene ponds, and grassy fields perfect for picnics or a quiet afternoon. Families often gather here to let their children play freely, while joggers and walkers make use of the looped trail that runs throughout the park. One of the unique attractions is the barefoot acupressure trail, where visitors can experience a natural foot massage while walking on smooth stones.
In the center of the park is Taegeukgi Park, a symbolic space that honors South Korea’s national flag, providing both cultural and patriotic significance. Additionally, traditional Korean pagodas, sculptures, and resting pavilions are scattered throughout the park, creating picturesque spots for photos and reflection.
Yongsan Family Park is conveniently located near the National Museum of Korea and accessible via Ichon Station or Seobinggo Station. This makes it a perfect stop for a full day of cultural exploration and outdoor enjoyment.
Open 24 hours a day with no admission fee, Yongsan Family Park is a refreshing oasis for all ages. Whether you're a local resident or a traveler, this park offers a relaxing escape from Seoul's fast-paced city life.
