Jayeon Do Salted Bakery, a popular bakery known for its salted bread, has opened a new branch in Yeonnam-dong, near Hongdae.
We didn’t waste any time and went there immediately. Although there are several branches now, this one is located in Yeonnam-dong, near the park. The shop is a small, single room with a charming minimalist design. Inside, there are four sample salted bread pieces on display, and the bakery only sells one menu item. The price for a set of salted bread (4 pieces) is 12,000 won.
Upon arrival, you’ll need to queue up, place your order using a machine, and make the payment. After that, you’ll receive a queue card to wait for your turn. Whether it’s the line to order and pay or the line to pick up the bread, there’s always a long queue.
The bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a rich buttery filling that has just the right amount of saltiness. It’s a must-try for anyone visiting Seoul!
