"A Miracle Restoration from Destruction" The reason it was chosen as a UNESCO World Heritage Site lies here.
I’ve arrived in Warsaw, the capital of Poland!
This city has a dramatic history, as approximately 80% of it was destroyed during World War II.
However, through the combined efforts of its people, the city was faithfully restored using 17th-18th century landscape paintings and sketches, resulting in the beautiful Old Town we see today✨
It is this dedication to restoration that earned Warsaw its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site🌍

🏰【Old Town (Stare Miasto)】
・Charming streets that make you feel like you’ve traveled back to medieval times
・Highlights include the Royal Castle Square and Sigismund’s Column
・Plaques marking "restoration efforts" can be found throughout the city, offering a deeper perspective when you understand the history
🏙【New Town (Nowe Miasto)】
・In contrast to the Old Town, it has a modern, metropolitan vibe
・Filled with shopping malls and cafes, it’s a bustling area!
⸻
🎨【Impressions】
・Not just a tourist destination, but a symbol of human resilience and renewal
・I was deeply moved by the city’s strong and flexible spirit, embodying the idea of "knowing the past and still moving forward"
・Warsaw is a city where sightseeing and learning go hand in hand💭
⸻
📌【Access】
・About 2.5–3 hours by train from Krakow (PKP Intercity)
・The city center is compact and easy to explore on foot, making it convenient for tourists!
