Bellagio Fountains - October 2023?

We are planning on heading back to Vegas in mid October. Has anyone heard a date for when the Grand Stands will be built? and will they close the sidewalk in front of Bellagio fountains when they do? I have been to many Mardi Gras parades where they put up Grand Stands and essentially you are walking under bleachers to access the sidewalk. If that is the plan, do we know when it will happen in Vegas? Safe to assume it wouldn't happen in mid-October?

The Bellagio Fountains are one of Las Vegas’ most iconic attractions, and many visitors wonder about construction, closures, and accessibility when special events are planned. Regarding your October 2023 visit:

Historically, the only time “grandstands” or large temporary seating structures have been erected along the Strip is for major events like New Year’s Eve, major boxing matches, or other large-scale public celebrations. The Bellagio sidewalk is generally open year-round for visitors to enjoy the fountains, except during short-term maintenance or when extremely large events occur.

Regarding October:

  • There are no publicly announced plans for grandstands or bleachers in front of the Bellagio Fountains in mid-October 2023.
  • It is safe to assume the sidewalk in front of the fountains will remain fully accessible to pedestrians during your visit.
  • Temporary closures usually happen for specific large events and are announced a few weeks in advance, typically closer to holidays or major fights, not during regular weekends in October.

In general, the Bellagio Fountains area remains very pedestrian-friendly in the fall. You should be able to enjoy the full experience of walking along the front and viewing the fountains without concern about grandstand construction. If any large-scale event is scheduled near your visit, the Bellagio or the city typically posts alerts on official websites or social media in advance, but for a typical October trip, closures or bleachers are not expected.

For your planning:

  • Arrive a bit early for prime viewing spots, especially if visiting at sunset or evening when the fountains are most popular.
  • The sidewalk and viewing areas are open 24/7, and you can watch multiple fountain shows without needing to reserve a space.
  • If you want an elevated view, some restaurants and bars overlooking the fountains offer seating and reservations, but the main pedestrian walkway will remain your best bet for a full, close-up experience.

In summary, you can confidently plan your mid-October visit without worrying about grandstands blocking access to the Bellagio Fountains sidewalk. Any changes would likely be tied to very specific, announced events, not standard October activity.
