Best spa resort if money is no object

Hey everyone! I'm not saying money is no object necessarily, but if it was what spa resort would you recommend? Long story short, I am a property manager on the Florida Gulf Coast and we just got hit with 2 hurricanes in a row. I am looking to TREAT MYSELF. For years mii amo was on my bucket list but I was younger and now that I'm pushing 50 I think it might be too hippie for my husband and not decadent enough for me. We are looking for an intimate place to escape the wreckage of the hurricanes with hot tubs, amazing spa services, maybe springs? We would like to enjoy the outdoors and get a little adventure but not a huge resort, maybe smaller or mid size. Any suggestions are more than welcome. Think trip of a lifetime but also very last minute lol. Thank you!

If you’re looking for a luxurious spa getaway in Arizona and money is no object, there are several resorts that combine high-end pampering with stunning desert landscapes, intimate settings, and opportunities for light adventure.

Here are some top recommendations for your “trip of a lifetime”:

  • Sanctuary Camelback Mountain, Scottsdale: A boutique luxury resort perched on Camelback Mountain with breathtaking views. Offers an award-winning spa with personalized treatments, outdoor hot tubs, infinity pools, and hiking trails right from the property. The property is intimate but elegant, perfect for couples seeking a decadent yet serene escape.
  • The Phoenician, Scottsdale: A larger luxury property with a high-end spa, multiple pools, and exceptional dining. While bigger than a boutique, it maintains intimate corners for relaxation. Offers wellness-focused treatments, private cabanas, and access to golf and guided desert adventures.
  • Enchantment Resort, Sedona: Nestled in Boynton Canyon, Sedona’s red rock scenery provides a magical backdrop. The Mii Amo spa is legendary here (the one you mentioned). The resort offers hiking, meditation, and outdoor adventure options, along with luxurious suites and top-notch spa treatments, hot tubs, and pools.
  • L’Auberge de Sedona: Located along Oak Creek, this resort combines riverfront tranquility with indulgent spa experiences. Offers private cottages, outdoor soaking tubs, a full-service spa, and light adventure options such as hiking along Sedona trails.
  • Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa, Tucson: Known for wellness immersion, the resort provides holistic spa experiences, meditation, and mindfulness classes. While it has a wellness vibe, it’s extremely upscale and intimate, with access to desert hikes and adventure excursions.

Tips for maximizing your experience:

  • Book spa treatments and dining in advance, especially if your trip is last minute.
  • Choose accommodations with private outdoor space—balcony, terrace, or private hot tub—for maximum relaxation.
  • If you enjoy light adventure, request guided hikes, jeep tours, or wellness excursions to explore the desert without it feeling like a strenuous trip.
  • Consider midweek stays if possible, as these resorts tend to be less crowded and more serene.

Overall, if you want decadent luxury with intimate settings and the option for light adventure, Sanctuary Camelback and Enchantment Resort are particularly outstanding choices. L’Auberge de Sedona and Miraval provide serene, nature-focused escapes with world-class spa amenities. Any of these would make for a truly indulgent “trip of a lifetime.”
