Today’s itinerary can someone please put these in order.

Today is our fourth day in this beautiful town of Sedona. We are staying at the Hilton in Oak Creek. This is today’s itinerary small hike in Fay Canyon Cama Beach small hike along the pathway in Oak Creek Crescent Moon Park, take the secret slip rock Trail, drive the red rock bypass, visit uptown Sedona. We will be leaving from our hotel in Oak Creek

Here is a logical, efficient, and scenic order for your Sedona itinerary, starting from the Hilton in Oak Creek (Village of Oak Creek). This route minimizes backtracking and keeps the cooler outdoor hikes earlier in the day.

You will start south and work your way north toward Sedona and finish in Uptown.

  • 1. Fay Canyon (small hike) – Start your day here while it’s still cool. Fay Canyon is located in West Sedona, about 25–30 minutes from your hotel. The trail is an easy, beautiful walk surrounded by towering red walls.
  • 2. Crescent Moon Ranch (and Secret Slickrock Trail) – After Fay Canyon, drive 10 minutes to Crescent Moon Picnic Site. From here you can enjoy views of Cathedral Rock, explore Oak Creek, and take the short Secret Slickrock Trail for one of the best photo spots in Sedona.
  • 3. Chapel Beach / Oak Creek Pathway Small Walk – Next, head toward back toward the Village of Oak Creek area (15–20 minutes). Walk a gentle stretch of the Oak Creek pathway—easy, relaxing, shaded, and a nice mid-day break.
  • 4. Red Rock Scenic Byway Drive – From Oak Creek, enjoy the Red Rock Scenic Byway (Highway 179) heading north. This is the iconic drive with Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, and gorgeous views all along the road. This naturally leads you toward Uptown.
  • 5. Uptown Sedona Visit – Finish your day in Uptown Sedona for shops, galleries, snacks, or dinner. Parking is easier in late afternoon/evening, and the sunset light on the surrounding red rock formations is beautiful.

This order gives you an early hike while temperatures are lower, moves logically west → center → village → north, and ends with a relaxing stroll and scenic drive before Uptown.

If you want to extend your day, you can also consider staying in Uptown for sunset views or dining with red rock overlooks.
