Bedside Clock?

I stayed recently at Excalibur, and the bedside alarm clocks have been removed from the rooms. The room phone has been upgraded to provide a wake-up call option, which I think may have been the reason for getting rid of the alarm clock.

I valued having the bedside clock display the time, and I asked at the front desk if the clocks were still available on request? No, the clocks are no longer available.

My question is, is there somewhere near Excalibur that a cheap clock with LED display can be purchased? Just the time to be displayed, no additional function required.

I have a USB-powered clock "cube" that I could bring with me, but something that plugs into a wall socket directly would be better.

I was thinking of looking in the Target store just up the Strip from Excalibur. Is there anywhere more suitable?

It’s unfortunate that Excalibur no longer provides bedside clocks in the rooms, as many people like to have a quick glance at the time during the night. However, you can easily find a cheap LED clock nearby. Here are a few options near the Excalibur where you can purchase one:

  • Target (on the Strip): The Target store located at 3595 S Las Vegas Blvd, just a short walk from Excalibur, is a good option. They offer affordable electronics, including LED clocks that can be plugged into a wall socket. It’s a convenient location, so definitely a solid choice to start with.
  • Walmart (on Tropicana Ave): If you’re willing to take a short drive, there’s a Walmart Supercenter at 4155 S. Riley St, near the Tropicana area. Walmart typically offers a range of inexpensive LED clocks, and you should be able to find a simple one that fits your needs.
  • Best Buy (at Fashion Show Mall): Located at 3200 S Las Vegas Blvd, Best Buy offers a larger selection of electronic goods. While they might be a little more expensive than Target or Walmart, they should have basic LED clocks available for purchase. It’s a good place to check out if you're looking for variety.
  • CVS Pharmacy (on the Strip): There’s a CVS Pharmacy on the Strip at 3700 Las Vegas Blvd, where you might find a small selection of simple electronic devices like clocks. The selection might not be as extensive, but it’s another option if you’re in a pinch and don’t want to travel far.

Given that you're already planning to visit the Target store on the Strip, it’s a great place to start your search for an affordable LED clock that plugs into the wall. You may also want to check online for stores like Bed Bath & Beyond, which is another option located in the area, depending on your schedule and convenience.

Hope this helps, and enjoy your stay in Las Vegas!
