Help coordinate

Merry Christmas!!

We will arrive in Las Vegas tomorrow (Dec 25) at

10 a.m. & stay at the Flamingoes, BUT the check-in at 4 p.m.

So I decided to have tickets to see the “Blue-man show “ at Luxor at 2 p.m.

We will take a taxi or an Uber from the airport.

I was wondering if you could advise me on how to coordinate the check-in and show time , as well as what we could do to pass the time like check out nearby casinos ?

Merry Christmas! It sounds like you have a fun trip planned for Las Vegas. Given that you'll arrive at 10 a.m. and your check-in time at the Flamingo is 4 p.m., you'll have a few hours to explore before the "Blue Man Group" show at 2 p.m. at the Luxor. Here's how you could coordinate your time:

First, after you land, you can take a taxi or Uber from the airport directly to the Luxor for the Blue Man Group show. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic, so you'll have time to grab a quick bite if needed before the show.

Once the show ends, you’ll still have some time before check-in at the Flamingo. If you'd like to pass the time, you can explore nearby casinos and attractions. The Luxor itself has a few interesting spots like the Pyramid Café and the Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. You could also check out:

  • Excalibur – Just next door to the Luxor, this casino and hotel offers a medieval theme with shops, entertainment, and dining options.
  • MGM Grand – A short walk or quick ride away, this large hotel and casino has plenty to explore, including the famous Lion Habitat and various restaurants.
  • New York-New York – A few minutes away by foot, this casino is themed after the Big Apple, with replicas of famous NYC landmarks and a roller coaster.

To help with your check-in at the Flamingo, you could arrive a bit early to the hotel and ask if they can check you in early, or at least store your luggage while you enjoy the nearby casinos. Many hotels offer luggage storage if your room isn't ready yet, which will give you more flexibility to explore the Strip without your bags.

Other things to do in the area while you wait for check-in include visiting:

  • Caesars Palace – A short distance away, offering high-end shopping at The Forum Shops and a large casino.
  • The Bellagio – Famous for its fountain show and indoor conservatory, it's a must-see in the area.
  • Paris Las Vegas – Just across the street, the Eiffel Tower replica offers amazing views of the Strip.

Once you're done exploring, you can head back to the Flamingo to check-in and settle in for the night. Enjoy your time in Vegas!
