Hi, I need some help. I'm arriving at Wuhan international airport from Shanghai at 10.30 am and news to get to Hankou railway station to catch a train to Wudangahan. If I catch a cab or taxi, how long will I take to reach Hangkou railway station?
Rome2rio says about 20 mins but chinaairtravel says 50 mins.
Not sure which is correct. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks
Traveling from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport to Hankou Railway Station is straightforward, but the actual travel time depends heavily on the mode of transport and traffic conditions.
Distance and general timing:
The airport is approximately 35 kilometers (22 miles) northeast of Hankou Railway Station. Under light traffic, the drive can take around 30–40 minutes. However, during peak hours, heavy city traffic can easily extend the journey to 50–60 minutes. So both sources you mentioned reflect possible scenarios: Rome2rio’s 20 minutes is optimistic and likely underestimates real traffic conditions, while ChinaAirTravel’s 50 minutes is more realistic for typical morning traffic.

Recommendation:
In summary, realistically budget 40–50 minutes for a taxi ride from Wuhan Airport to Hankou Railway Station around 10:30 am. Using public transport may take slightly longer but avoids the risk of traffic delays.
