I have a question to all of you experts

I am arriving in Macau Airport and plan to stay at DoubleTree Zhuhai Hengquin. I am aware of the 160 CNY I need to pay for the 3 days Zhuhai visa

My question is. If I get this visa and within these three days decide to make a daytrip to Macau and back, do I need to apply and pay for a new visa or is the old one still valid?

The 3-day Zhuhai visa (also called the Zhuhai 72/144-hour temporary entry permit in some sources) allows foreign travelers to enter Zhuhai for a short stay without a full Chinese visa. However, it is strictly valid for travel within Zhuhai city limits only.

If you plan to make a day trip to Macau during these three days, you need to be aware that Macau is a separate administrative region and has its own immigration rules. Entering Macau from Zhuhai counts as leaving Zhuhai, and re-entering Zhuhai would require a new entry permission.

The original 3-day Zhuhai visa remains valid only while you stay continuously within Zhuhai.
If you leave Zhuhai for Macau, you must apply for a new Zhuhai visa upon return to Zhuhai.
Crossing to Macau does not automatically extend or preserve your original Zhuhai 3-day visa.

In practice, this means that for a day trip to Macau during your 3-day Zhuhai visa stay, you would need to pay for a new Zhuhai entry permit upon returning. Alternatively, you could plan to visit Macau without returning to Zhuhai until your original visa expires, but that would limit your ability to use Zhuhai as a base.
