Eating at Sanaa

Hi,

Considering eating at Sanna during our visit. We are going at Easter, should I do this on my AK day or a ‘day off’? I will have a car, should I drive or catch the bus? (Would I have to pay for parking at the hotel?)

Sanaa, located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village, is a popular restaurant with a unique African-Indian fusion menu. Planning your visit around Easter will require some strategy as it tends to be busy during holidays.

Timing: You can choose to dine at Sanaa either on your Animal Kingdom (AK) day or on a “day off.” Here are some considerations:

  • On AK day: This can be convenient if you plan to have an early lunch or late dinner. Lunch is usually quieter than dinner, and you can enjoy a break from the park with a relaxing meal. Dinner might be busy, especially on Easter weekend.
  • On a “day off”: Dining on a non-park day allows you to fully enjoy the resort ambiance without the rush of a theme park day. You can take your time, explore the savanna views, and enjoy a leisurely experience.

Transportation:

  • Since you’ll have a car, driving is straightforward. The resort has parking available for guests, so you can park at Kidani Village without extra charge if you’re dining there, especially with a confirmed dining reservation.
  • Alternatively, Disney buses can take you from other resorts or parks to Kidani Village. This is convenient if you want to avoid parking or enjoy a no-drive day, but wait times may be longer during Easter.

Parking: Guests dining at Sanaa generally have access to complimentary self-parking at the resort. If you’re staying on property, this is included. Always check your reservation confirmation or ask at the podium when you arrive to confirm parking policies, especially during holiday periods.

Tip: Make an advance dining reservation as early as possible, as Sanaa is very popular during holiday periods. Lunch reservations can be slightly easier to secure than dinner, but either is worth booking early.
