Pool/Kitchen Sedona and Phoenix Area

My husband and I are traveling to Arizona with our two kids (6&9) this April. We are splitting our trip between the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Phoenix area. We are looking for hotels in Sedona and Phoenix (any area) with a large pool, but also have a kitchen as my daughter has Celiac's and we will need to be able to accommodate the diet a bit. Any ideas? We would like to spend under $350 a night if that's doable. The primary interests of the trip will be some hikes/exploring, and then some relaxing by a pool. Thanks!

For a family trip in April to Arizona with a focus on both exploration and relaxing by a pool, finding accommodations with a kitchen is a smart move, especially with dietary restrictions like Celiac disease. Here are some options for Sedona and the Phoenix area that should fit your criteria and budget.

Sedona:

  • Embassy Suites by Hilton Sedona – Offers spacious two-room suites with full kitchens or kitchenettes. There’s a pool and easy access to local hiking spots. Typically fits within your budget if booked in advance.
  • Airbnb / VRBO Options – Sedona has many vacation rentals with full kitchens and private or community pools. Look for places near West Sedona or Village of Oak Creek for convenience to trails.
  • Sedona Summit Resort – Some units offer kitchenettes and access to a large outdoor pool and spa. Family-friendly and usually within your target budget.

Phoenix Area:

  • Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix / Desert Ridge – All suites have full kitchens, and there’s a large outdoor pool with family-friendly amenities. Typically under $350/night in April.
  • Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix North / Scottsdale – Full kitchens in all suites, large pool, and kid-friendly atmosphere. Close to shopping and easy access to day trips.
  • Vacation Rentals / Airbnb in Phoenix or Scottsdale – Many offer private pools and full kitchens. Look in Scottsdale or Paradise Valley for convenient locations to hiking and attractions.

Additional Tips:

  • Book early: April is spring break season, so properties with pools can book quickly.
  • Check pool hours: Some resorts may have seasonal pool hours, though most in Arizona will be open in April.
  • Confirm kitchen setup: Not all “kitchenette” options are full kitchens; ensure there is an oven, stove, and sufficient prep space for your daughter’s meals.

With these options, you can balance your days exploring trails in Sedona or nearby Phoenix hikes with relaxing pool time and safely accommodate your daughter’s Celiac diet. Vacation rentals often give the best combination of pool, kitchen, and family space for your budget.
