Harrah’s
Hi, my wife and I are going to Vegas in April with friends. Our friends have an offer to stay at Harrahs. Can anyone advise me on which type of room to book? Have any rooms been renovated recently? Also, we are wanting to rent a car for a day to drive to Valley of Fire. Any suggestions on car rental company near Harrah’s. Thanks.
Harrah’s Las Vegas is a popular choice for many visitors due to its central location on the Strip and its range of amenities. Here's some advice to help you decide on the type of room to book and where to rent a car for your Valley of Fire trip:
Room Recommendations at Harrah's
- Renovated Rooms: Harrah's has recently renovated many of its rooms, especially in the Valley Tower. These renovated rooms are more modern, featuring updated décor, flat-screen TVs, and refreshed bathrooms. If possible, book a room in the Valley Tower for a more contemporary experience. The rooms in the older sections (like the original Harrah's Tower) can still be quite comfortable, but they may not have the same modern upgrades as the Valley Tower.
- Room Options: Harrah’s offers a variety of room types, including:
- Premium Rooms: These are larger, well-appointed rooms with better views and updated amenities. They are perfect for those looking for a little more space and comfort.
- Luxury Rooms: These rooms offer a bit more luxury with upgraded furniture, better views of the Strip, and additional amenities. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for something a bit more special.
- Suites: If you’re looking for more space and a higher level of comfort, Harrah’s offers suites with living areas, separate bedrooms, and sometimes even views of the Bellagio fountains or the Strip. They are perfect if you're planning to spend more time in your room or have a special occasion to celebrate.
- Room Suggestions: If you prefer a quieter experience and don’t mind a slightly older décor, rooms in the Harrah’s Tower can be a great budget-friendly option. For a more modern and comfortable stay, I’d recommend booking a room in the Valley Tower or opting for one of the suites if you want extra space.
Car Rental Suggestions Near Harrah's
- Rental Locations Near Harrah’s: Harrah’s is centrally located on the Strip, and while there isn’t a car rental location directly at the hotel, there are several within walking distance or a short drive. Some of the major car rental companies near Harrah’s include:
- Enterprise Rent-A-Car: Enterprise has a location just a short distance from Harrah’s at 2720 S. Las Vegas Blvd. They offer a range of vehicles, from economy cars to larger SUVs, perfect for a trip to Valley of Fire.
- Hertz: Hertz has a location nearby at 6675 S. Eastern Ave. It’s a reliable company with a wide selection of vehicles and a good reputation for customer service.
- Alamo Rent A Car: Alamo is also close by at 4925 S. Decatur Blvd, providing an easy rental experience with affordable rates.
- Valley of Fire Trip: Renting a car for a day trip to Valley of Fire is a great choice. The park is about a 1-hour drive from Las Vegas, and having a car will give you flexibility to explore at your own pace. If you prefer a larger vehicle for the drive, consider renting an SUV or a convertible for the scenic journey.
- Car Rental Tips: Make sure to book your rental car in advance, especially in April when the weather is pleasant and demand for rental cars can increase. Many of the rental agencies allow you to pick up the car at their location and return it at the same location, which is convenient for a one-day trip.
Final Thoughts
- For the most modern experience, book a room in the Valley Tower at Harrah’s, and consider one of the suites if you want additional space and comfort.
- For car rentals, Enterprise, Hertz, and Alamo are all great options near Harrah’s, and they offer a variety of vehicles for your trip to Valley of Fire.
- Make sure to check rental availability and make a reservation in advance to ensure you get the car you need for your day trip.
