Shows

I am overwhelmed by all the choices. Really do not have a personal must see… considering Awakenings, LEGERDEMAIN, O (we have seen other circ shows in Atlanta)… really do not have a strong feeling in any direction - help! 😜 what are your favorites?

Las Vegas is known for its world-class entertainment, so it can be overwhelming to choose which show to see. Here are a few suggestions to help you narrow it down based on your preferences:

  • Awakening (Resort World):
    • This is a newer show in Vegas with a lot of buzz. It blends a thrilling story with incredible visual effects, acrobatics, and impressive stage production. If you're into immersive, high-energy performances, this might be a good fit.
  • O by Cirque du Soleil (Bellagio):
    • If you love Cirque du Soleil shows but have seen others like "Ka" or "Mystère," "O" is one of their most iconic shows. It’s based on water, so there's a unique aquatic element to the acrobatics, synchronized swimming, and diving. It’s stunning to watch, especially if you're in the mood for a visually artistic, timeless performance.
  • LEGERDEMAIN:
    • If you enjoy magic and illusion, "LEGERDEMAIN" is a great choice. This show features incredible sleight of hand, mind-blowing tricks, and a more intimate magic experience. If you're looking for something with a bit of mystery and intrigue, this could be a fun option.
  • Absinthe (Caesars Palace):
    • This show is a favorite for many who enjoy a mix of comedy, burlesque, acrobatics, and absurdity. It's known for its raunchy humor and intimate, cabaret-style setting. If you're in the mood for something more offbeat and fun, this one has a lot of personality.
  • Cirque du Soleil’s “Mystère” (Treasure Island):
    • If you haven’t seen “Mystère,” it’s a good entry point into the world of Cirque du Soleil. It’s one of the original Vegas Cirque shows, and its combination of aerial acrobatics, contortion, and playful humor is a crowd-pleaser. If you’ve seen other Cirque shows in Atlanta, “Mystère” is one of the classics and still a great experience.
  • David Copperfield (MGM Grand):
    • If you're more into traditional magic and illusions, David Copperfield is a legend in the magic world. His show mixes classic magic tricks with new, mind-bending illusions, and his storytelling style adds a personal touch. This could be a great pick if you like to be amazed by what seems impossible.

Suggestions: Since you mentioned you’ve already seen other Cirque du Soleil shows, "O" might be a bit repetitive, but still fantastic. If you want something different from the typical Vegas acts, I’d recommend "Absinthe" for its humor and energy or "LEGERDEMAIN" if you're interested in a magical, close-up experience. "Awakening" is a newer show and could offer something fresh if you're looking for something different. You can’t go wrong with a Cirque du Soleil show if you haven’t seen "O," but if you’re looking for a variety, Absinthe or Copperfield may be a great pick!

Ultimately, it depends on whether you want a classic Vegas experience with acrobatics, humor, magic, or something more immersive and modern. Enjoy your trip, and whatever show you choose, you’re sure to have a memorable time in Las Vegas!
