One night stays in April

Hi everyone! Visiting family and would love to do an overnight in Calistoga. However it seems that most places are 2 or 3 night minimums on the weekends. Does anyone know of places that offer a one night stay? Thank you in advance.

Finding one-night stays in Calistoga can be a bit challenging, especially on weekends, as many hotels and resorts enforce 2–3 night minimums. However, there are several options that may work for a shorter visit, particularly mid-week or by booking directly with smaller inns or boutique properties.

Options for one-night stays:

  • Calistoga Motor Lodge: Offers flexibility with shorter stays and budget-friendly rates, convenient location near downtown.
  • Best Western Plus Victorian Inn: Occasionally allows single-night stays, especially if booked directly over the phone rather than through third-party sites.
  • Small boutique inns and B&Bs: Examples include Madrona Manor (may require checking for exceptions), Calistoga Inn, and Palisades Resort. Calling directly can sometimes bypass minimum night restrictions.
  • Vacation rental platforms: Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com may have single-night listings in April. Look for private cottages or guesthouses that do not enforce multi-night minimums.

Tips for booking:

  • Call the property directly – some places enforce 2-night minimums only for online bookings.
  • Travel mid-week if possible – Fridays and Saturdays are the hardest for one-night stays.
  • Check last-minute availability – cancellations sometimes open up one-night options even on weekends.
  • Consider staying slightly outside of Calistoga (e.g., St. Helena or Napa) if one-night flexibility is essential.

In summary, while weekends are more restrictive, mid-week stays, direct calls to boutique properties, and vacation rental platforms offer the best chance for securing a one-night stay in Calistoga during April.
