Dining review Spring 2025

Here is a recap of how I feel about where we ate the past two weeks.

Yuck: (Do not let your significant other talk you into this)

Costco turkey sandwich

Island Gourmet Wrap

Meh:

Joey’s Kitchen – Napili: decent but really didn't do much for us. Greasy!

Da Kitchen - enormous portions of "local food". Great value for price.

Tin Roof - mochiko chicken was disappointing this time.

Pizza Paradiso - pizza was just ok but I think their gyros might be really good.

Good/Very Good:

Costco poke - great value.

Sansei - Always tasty and the "happy hour" special makes it a good deal

Excellent - ONO

Foodland poke - the fresh stuff is always really good. Try it with shrimp chips instead of rice for poke nachos.

Mala - small portions but every bite was wonderful.

Aloha Mixed Plate - good old standby - delicous and such a lovely spot.

Monkeypod – Wailea - everything there is great. Well I have not tried everything but I think it must all be good.

Kohola Brewing - husband likes the food more than I do but it's all solid. Decent portions, and great beer too.

Hope this helps others. Of course the reason there are lots of restaurants is because we all like different things, so what we liked, or didn't like, may not be the same for you.
