Lockers by QUicksilver lift

Hi All and TIA

First time at Breck. WE are staying at Cimarron condos by Peak 9. I have an issue with my foot (really hoping it doesnt present a problem skiing) and I cant walk in my ski boots. I know it's a short walk but my heel has been bruising up pretty badly - I can't walk any more than absolutely necessary.

Is there any lodge or spot that has lockers where I can change into my ski boots and leave my boot bag with my shoes? Any suggestions really appreciated.

Welcome to Breckenridge! Given your foot issue, it’s wise to minimize walking in ski boots. Fortunately, Breckenridge has several options for locker rentals and ski storage near the lifts, which will allow you to change into your boots and store your shoe bags without long walks.

Here are some options close to the Quicksilver lift (Peak 9 area) and nearby facilities:

  • Quicksilver SuperChair Base Area Lockers: At the base of Peak 9 near the Quicksilver lift, there are ski lockers available for rent. These are ideal because you can leave your street shoes and switch into your ski boots right at the lift area. It’s a short walk from most nearby lodgings, including Cimarron.
  • Ski & Snowboard Rental Shops on Peak 9: Shops like Christy Sports or Breck Sports often provide locker rentals for their customers. You can inquire about daily locker use, which usually allows you to leave your boots, skis, and personal items securely.
  • On-Mountain Lodges: Lodges such as the Peak 9 Base Area Lodge and Beaver Run Resort offer lockers and sometimes ski valets. If you’re staying nearby, you may be able to arrange a temporary locker to store your non-ski shoes and other items.

Additional tips:

  • Consider renting a locker for the day at the Quicksilver lift base so you can change boots there instead of trekking back and forth from your condo.
  • Some lodges offer “boot warming” and storage services, which can be very helpful if your foot is sensitive.
  • It might be worth calling Cimarron front desk—they sometimes have arrangements for ski storage or can guide you to the closest locker facility, which could save you walking in ski boots.

Overall, your best bet is a locker at the Quicksilver lift base or a Peak 9 rental shop. That way you minimize walking in your ski boots and can enjoy skiing comfortably despite your foot issue.
