Hilton West Palm advice on beaches nearby , etc…

Hi planning a trip in beginning of July for 6 nights

Was wondering what are the nicest beaches nearby that are full service beaches that rent chairs/umbrellas and also have restroom facilities

I understand the Hilton has a golf cart shuttle that takes you to a nearby beach but I believe it doesn’t have restrooms or chair rentals ?

Also is July usually a wet season … some rain??

lots of rain? Just trying to get a feel before we commit

And is the breakfast buffet work getting at the Hilton included in our price or should we just eat at surrounding locales ? First timers lol

Thanks !!!

It sounds like you're planning a great trip to West Palm Beach, and I’m happy to help with some details!

Nearby Beaches with Full-Service Amenities:

  • Riviera Beach (Delray Beach): This is a popular option with amenities like chair and umbrella rentals, restrooms, and showers. It's a bit further south of West Palm Beach but still very accessible. It also has lifeguards on duty for added safety.
  • Palm Beach Municipal Beach: Located just north of West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Municipal Beach has all the amenities you’re looking for—restrooms, chair and umbrella rentals, and it’s a great spot for people watching. The public beach access points are also close to restaurants and shops in the area.
  • Singer Island Beach: Located to the north, Singer Island is another excellent beach with chair rentals, umbrellas, restrooms, and plenty of space. It’s quieter than the other beaches, which could be perfect if you’re looking for a more relaxed experience.

Hilton West Palm Beach Beach Access:

You’re correct that the Hilton provides a golf cart shuttle to a nearby beach. However, it does not have the full-service amenities like chair rentals or restrooms on-site. It’s more of a "relaxed" experience, where you’ll have to bring your own beach equipment or rent it from nearby vendors.

Weather in July:

July in West Palm Beach is during the rainy season, so yes, you can expect some rain, especially in the afternoon or evening. However, the rain tends to be short and heavy, with lots of sunshine before and after. It’s also quite hot and humid, so packing light clothing, sunscreen, and staying hydrated is key!

Breakfast at the Hilton:

Regarding breakfast, it depends on your booking. If your rate includes breakfast, it will likely be specified at the time of booking. The Hilton West Palm Beach offers a great breakfast buffet, but it’s often an added charge unless specified. If you want to try other local places, there are plenty of excellent spots around West Palm Beach for breakfast, such as The Breakers’ Flagler Steakhouse or Grato for a more casual experience.

Other Tips:

• Transportation: West Palm Beach has great public transit and ride-sharing options, so getting around is easy. However, if you plan to visit more distant areas like Miami or Fort Lauderdale, renting a car might be more convenient.
  • Things to Do: You’ll want to visit the Norton Museum of Art and the Flagler Museum for a cultural experience, or take a stroll down Worth Avenue for upscale shopping and dining.

In conclusion, West Palm Beach offers a nice mix of accessible, full-service beaches with plenty of amenities. Since you'll be visiting in July, expect a bit of rain but don’t let it ruin your fun—just plan around it! And for breakfast, double-check your Hilton booking to see if it’s included, but there are plenty of great local options if not. Enjoy your trip!
