Which Hilton Property?

I am a solo business traveler and will be in Phoenix/Scottsdale on April for 2 nights and trying to decide between a few Hilton properties that are fairly close in price. Any advice you can provide is appreciated. The properties are:

- Hilton Scottsdale Resort

- Hilton Phoenix at the Peak

- Hilton Tapatio Cliffs

Thank you.

Choosing between Hilton properties in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area depends on what kind of experience you are looking for as a solo business traveler. Here’s a detailed breakdown of each property:

  • Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas: Located in North Scottsdale, this resort is set in a more suburban, resort-style environment. It offers spacious rooms, golf courses nearby, multiple pools, and a more relaxing, resort-like atmosphere. Ideal if you prefer a quieter stay with amenities like fitness centers, spas, or golf.
  • Hilton Phoenix at The Peak: This property is closer to the downtown Phoenix area, which can be convenient if your meetings or business are based in central Phoenix. It tends to have a more straightforward hotel experience without the large resort amenities, focusing on comfort and business traveler needs.
  • Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort: Located in North Phoenix with a hillside setting, this resort offers stunning views, multiple pools, and a resort vibe similar to Scottsdale Resort but a bit more secluded. It can be great for evening relaxation or enjoying scenic surroundings, but may require more driving to get to business districts in Scottsdale or Phoenix.

Considerations for Your Stay:

  • Proximity to Meetings: If your work is in Scottsdale, Hilton Scottsdale Resort is slightly closer; for downtown Phoenix, Hilton Phoenix at The Peak is more convenient.
  • Resort Amenities: Both Hilton Scottsdale Resort and Tapatio Cliffs offer pools, scenic views, and a resort experience. If you want a quiet evening with relaxation options, these are preferable.
  • Transportation: All three properties will likely require a car, though Phoenix at The Peak may be better for taxi or rideshare access to downtown areas.
  • Solo Traveler Considerations: For a mix of convenience and comfort, Hilton Phoenix at The Peak may offer a simpler check-in/check-out process and easier access to city amenities, while the other two provide more of a resort feel for downtime.

Summary Recommendation:

If your priority is business convenience and central location, choose Hilton Phoenix at The Peak. If you prefer a resort-style stay with scenic surroundings and relaxation options, Hilton Scottsdale Resort or Hilton Tapatio Cliffs would be better. Between the two resort options, Scottsdale is slightly more accessible to Scottsdale business areas, while Tapatio Cliffs offers a more secluded hillside experience.
