Train to Beijing from Guilin

Our ticket just says Guilin but we are taking a G Train - which station should we book to by Didi ?

For high-speed G trains departing Guilin to Beijing, you should head to Guilin North Railway Station (Guilinbei, 桂林北站). Most G trains (Gaotie) from Guilin to Beijing depart from this station rather than the main Guilin Railway Station.

Here are some tips for arranging your Didi ride:

  • Book your Didi to Guilin North Railway Station to avoid any confusion. The station name in Chinese is 桂林北站, which you can show to the driver.
  • Allow extra time for traffic, especially during peak hours or public holidays; the station is a bit farther from the city center compared to the main Guilin station.
  • Check your train ticket carefully: sometimes the ticket only says “Guilin” in English, but the departure station will be printed in Chinese as 桂林北 (Guilin North) or 桂林 (Guilin). Match the departure time and platform with the station info.

Optional tips:

  • If you are unsure, take a screenshot of your train ticket and show it to your Didi driver—they can confirm the correct station.
  • Arrive at least 30–45 minutes before departure to allow time for security checks and finding the correct platform.

In summary, for G trains to Beijing from Guilin, Guilin North Railway Station is the station you should book for your Didi pickup.
