Seating in Honda Center/Stars on Ice

I'm thinking of going to Stars on Ice at the Honda Center on May 17th. It will be my first time there and first time seeing Stars on Ice. The only ice shows I've seen are Knott's and usually sit in the balcony but not higher than 6 or 7 rows up.

It looks like there are many open seats on second level at $74 (senior discount gets $5 off that). Website says the pricing is all inclusive. Are these locations okay? Any advice would be great!

Anyone know if the venue adds screens for shows so I can watch overall plus close up view?

I didn't check the parking fee.

This would be a birthday present to myself as my birthday is the weekend before. Just remembered that Stars on Ice was coming up.

The Honda Center in Anaheim is a large arena designed for sports and entertainment events, including ice shows like Stars on Ice. Seating in the second level, especially around rows 6 or 7 from the top, is generally considered a good balance of price and view. You will have a full view of the ice, though the details of individual skaters may be less clear compared to closer floor-level seats.

Some key considerations for your seating and experience:

  • Second Level Seats: Seats in the second level at around row 6-7 are typically comfortable and safe choices. You’ll have a good overall perspective of the ice and the choreography, which is especially nice for shows like Stars on Ice where seeing the formations is part of the experience.
  • Screen Usage: Most ice shows in arenas like Honda Center do provide large screens to supplement the live view. These screens show close-ups of skaters, so even if you are farther back, you won’t miss details. This is especially helpful in second-level seats.
  • Price Consideration: $74 with the senior discount is a reasonable price for a large arena show. Since it is an inclusive price, it should cover your seat, but food and merchandise will be extra.
  • Parking: The Honda Center has on-site parking, and fees can range depending on the event. Expect $10-$20 per car, though prices can fluctuate for popular events. Arriving early can make parking easier and reduce stress.

Additional tips:

  • Arrive at least 30-45 minutes before showtime to find your seat and settle in comfortably.
  • If you enjoy seeing details up close, bring binoculars as a personal option, but the screens should suffice for most viewers.
  • Consider bringing a light jacket or sweater; arenas can be cooler during ice shows.

Overall, second-level seating in rows 6-7 offers a great view for a first-time Stars on Ice experience, providing both an overall perspective of the performance and access to close-up views on the screens. Enjoy your birthday treat!
