Got in at about 7:00 pm on Sunday. Staying at Mandalay Bay. Room is great. Really clean. Everything in very good shape. Love the bathrooms. Took the monorail down to the Sahara. Some $10 blackjack tables. Have not been there in a long time. It seems okay, nothing special. Went to Foutainebleau. It seemed busier than when I stopped by to see it last year. Then I went across to Slots O Fun. Two $5 black jack tables that were empty at 6:00 pm! And its a six deck shoe, not continuous shuffle as i saw at many tables up and down the strip. And they gave me a coupon for a free hot dog for my one and only black jack. Bellagio was crazy busy.
It sounds like you're off to a good start with your Las Vegas trip! Staying at Mandalay Bay is always a solid choice, especially with the spacious rooms and clean, well-maintained facilities. I can imagine the bathrooms are a nice touch too—Mandalay Bay is known for its luxury offerings.
It seems like you've been exploring a variety of places on your first full day, from the Sahara to the Fontainebleau and Slots O Fun. Here's a quick rundown of your observations:
All in all, it seems like you're enjoying a nice mix of classic Vegas spots. The variety between Mandalay Bay's luxury, Sahara’s affordable gambling, and the nostalgia of Slots O Fun is a great way to experience the different flavors of the city. If you haven’t yet, you might want to check out the Venetian and Caesars Palace for some high-end shopping and dining or try a show like Cirque du Soleil's "O" at Bellagio if you’re in the mood for a more immersive experience.
It sounds like you're setting yourself up for a great trip, and with a mix of experiences, you’ll be able to explore both the old-school Vegas and the more modern resorts. Enjoy the rest of your stay!
