Naples Grande Beach resort

Hiya we are coming to Florida this August. Spending 12 nights in Orlando and 4 in Naples. Our travel agent recommended this hotel in Naples but after reading up it seems it is not actually on the beach! Could anyone recommend an alternative around the same price? It’s for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Thank you

Naples Grande Beach Resort is a well-known property, but it is important to note that it is technically on the Gulf of Mexico side, with a private beach area accessible via a short walk or shuttle from the main resort buildings. While the resort offers luxury amenities, pools, golf, and dining, some travelers expect direct beach frontage right outside the rooms, which is not exactly the case here.

If your priority is staying directly on the beach with easy access for your teenagers, there are a few alternative options around a similar price range:

  • Edgewater Beach Hotel: Located right on Vanderbilt Beach, this property offers beachfront rooms, family-friendly pools, and easy access to local restaurants.
  • Hilton Naples: Close to the beach and situated conveniently near shops and dining, with large family suites.
  • La Playa Beach & Golf Resort: Slightly higher-end but often within reach for deals; directly on the beach with spacious rooms and multiple pools.
  • Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club: Classic beachfront resort with family-friendly amenities, private beach access, and a golf course on-site.

Tips for choosing:

  • Check if the property has direct beach access versus requiring a shuttle or short walk.
  • Look for family-friendly pools and activities since you’re traveling with teenagers.
  • Consider location relative to dining and shopping if you prefer to walk in the evenings.

Overall, if your main priority is beach access and convenience for a family of four, Edgewater Beach Hotel and La Playa Beach & Golf Resort are likely the closest match to your expectations while staying in a similar price range.
