Hotel in Hong Kong - is the Location good for 1st timers

Hi,

DH and I will be spending a few days in Hong Kong as part of our Indonesia trip.

We found a Hilton ( not my first option as I would prefer something more local). Would Hilton Garden Inn Mongkok in a good and convenient location for walking, sightseeing the beautiful Hong Kong?
