I have the 4 bedroom penthouse reserved at the double tree for our upcoming cruise. Reviews arent good. Says old and dated. I can get a 3 bedroom at the Elser for less. Looks nicer. close to Bayside marketplace too. Thinking of switching
When deciding between the DoubleTree and Elser for your Miami stay before a cruise, several factors come into play: location, amenities, unit size, and overall comfort.
DoubleTree Penthouse: While the 4-bedroom penthouse gives you more space, reviews suggest the property is dated, which may affect the overall comfort and feel of your stay. Amenities may also be older, and some guests have noted issues with furnishings or maintenance. On the positive side, the penthouse likely offers more bedrooms than the Elser option, which could be convenient for your group size.
Elser 3-Bedroom: The 3-bedroom unit at Elser is reported to be newer and more modern, with updated interiors and better aesthetic appeal. Its location near Bayside Marketplace is excellent for walking to restaurants, shops, and the cruise departure area, reducing the need for taxis or rideshares. Even though it has one less bedroom, it may feel more comfortable and visually appealing for a short stay.
Other considerations:
Overall, many travelers in your situation choose the more modern, well-located option for a short stay, making Elser a strong candidate. The slight reduction in bedroom count is often offset by the comfort, style, and convenience it offers.
