Hello @all,
From 19.09 to 06.10 i am doing an roadtrip from San Francisco to Los Angeles (via Las Vegas and some national parks around), and our trip ends with 4 days in Los Angeles. For our last full day, 05.10. we are planing to spend our day in Orange County.
Which places can you recommend to visit in this whole day? I have already seen so much beautiful places, Newport, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Dana Point seems also interesting, but probably everything too much for one day.
We would like just to have an nice ending to our roadtrip, see some beautiful beaches & viewpoints, expiriencing the best what OC has to offer.
What would be your recommendations?
Thanks.
For a single day in Orange County at the end of your road trip, it’s best to focus on a few highlights rather than trying to see every beach town. This allows you to enjoy the coastline, scenic viewpoints, and a relaxed vibe without feeling rushed.
Suggested Morning:
Start your day early and head south from Los Angeles toward the coast. Laguna Beach is a great first stop. Known for its coves, tide pools, and art scene, you can walk along the coast and enjoy the ocean views.
Late Morning / Early Afternoon:
Drive north along the Pacific Coast Highway to Newport Beach. You can enjoy the harbor, boardwalk, or even a short harbor cruise if time allows.
Afternoon / Sunset:
Consider ending your day further south near Dana Point for a quieter, scenic spot with beautiful viewpoints and possibly whale watching if time permits.
Tips:
This itinerary gives you a balanced day of iconic beaches, scenic overlooks, and the relaxed Southern California vibe, making it a memorable final day of your road trip.
