DTLA restaurants

In early september i will be making a very short visit to LA to see a concert at crypto.com arena, staying at hotel figueroa. I am looking for suggestions for an early dinner in the area before the show. I don't eat meat, open to most cuisines. thanks!

For an early dinner in Downtown Los Angeles near Hotel Figueroa before your concert at Crypto.com Arena, there are several excellent options that cater to vegetarian diets and offer a variety of cuisines. Since your time is limited, it's best to choose places within walking distance or a short ride from your hotel.

Here are some recommended options:

  • Border Grill: Located inside the Mandalay Hotel, this modern Mexican restaurant offers several vegetarian dishes, including fresh guacamole, tacos, and enchiladas. The flavors are vibrant and the atmosphere lively but casual.
  • Faith & Flower: A stylish, contemporary American restaurant near the Figaroa Hotel. They offer several vegetarian options on their menu, such as roasted vegetable dishes and salads. The setting is elegant yet comfortable.
  • Wurstküche: If you enjoy plant-based sausages, this spot specializes in exotic sausages (including vegan options) with a casual, energetic vibe. Perfect for a quick, fun meal before the concert.
  • Nickel Diner: For a more casual, eclectic option, Nickel Diner offers some vegetarian-friendly plates and is known for good breakfast and comfort food, great if you want a relaxed start before your evening.
  • Otium: Near The Broad museum, Otium serves modern American cuisine with a variety of vegetable-forward dishes. While slightly upscale, it’s excellent for a pre-show dinner if you want something a bit more special.

Additional tips:

  • Make a reservation if possible, as early September evenings can be busy in DTLA.
  • Allow at least 1.5 to 2 hours for dinner to ensure you have plenty of time to get to Crypto.com Arena without rushing.
  • Check the menus online for the latest vegetarian offerings, as some restaurants may update seasonally.

All of these choices are within easy reach of your hotel and provide a good mix of casual to slightly upscale dining to suit your schedule and preferences.
