SeaWorld food - fries

Hi everyone - we are visiting SD and Seaworld in December from Australia. My autistic son has only a few safe foods when we travel, can anyone share what the fries are like at Seaworld and SD Zoo. Are they straight, crinkle, curly? This is usually the only food he will eat at a restaurant/takeaway.

Thanks

At both SeaWorld San Diego and the San Diego Zoo, the French fries served are generally the standard straight-cut style. They are not crinkle-cut or curly fries, so if your son prefers plain, simple fries, these should be suitable.

More details on what to expect:

  • SeaWorld San Diego: Fries are typically straight-cut, lightly salted, and served in standard portion sizes. They are similar to fast-food fries in texture and appearance, making them predictable for picky eaters.
  • San Diego Zoo: The fries at the zoo’s food stands and cafes are also straight-cut. They are usually fresh and not heavily seasoned, which is helpful if your son prefers plain foods.

Additional tips for visiting with selective eaters:

  • Both SeaWorld and the Zoo allow guests to bring in small amounts of food, so you could pack backup fries or other preferred items if needed.
  • Consider visiting less crowded food stands for faster service and fresher fries.
  • Check online menus ahead of time to identify stands or restaurants that consistently serve plain fries.

Overall, the straight-cut fries at both locations are generally safe for children with limited food preferences, and they should be consistent enough to avoid surprises.
