We will be staying in a VRBO in San Diego for the first half of our trip and finishing up in Laguna Beach. I found a cute VRBO in Laguna but now torn between that and Surf & Sand. Any advice? We like to spread out have a kitchen, etc. but the oceanfront views look amazing at Surf & Sand. I know we won't be in room long as we will be exploring the beaches, surroundings etc. Just haven't been in 21 years and want to make the trip special. Thanks for any recommendations.
Laguna Beach is a wonderful choice for the second half of your trip, and both Surf & Sand and a VRBO offer unique advantages depending on what experience you’re seeking.
1) Surf & Sand Resort
This oceanfront resort provides spectacular views and easy access to the beach. It’s ideal if you want to enjoy a luxurious, hassle-free stay without worrying about cooking or housekeeping. The rooms are beautifully appointed, and you’ll have amenities like a pool, spa, and on-site dining. The main draw is definitely the unbeatable ocean views and direct beach access, which can make your stay feel extra special.
2) VRBO Rental
Renting a VRBO gives you more space, privacy, and a full kitchen, which is great if you enjoy cooking, want to have breakfast in your own space, or prefer a home-like environment. You may also have private outdoor areas, which can be lovely for relaxing when you’re back from exploring. Some VRBOs are close to the ocean but rarely right on the beach, so the views may not be as dramatic as Surf & Sand.
3) Considerations for Your Trip
Ultimately, if the view and special occasion factor are more important than kitchen and spread-out space, Surf & Sand is unbeatable. If comfort, privacy, and having your own space are more important, the VRBO will suit you better. You could also mix both for a balanced experience.
