Royal Kona Resort
Staying at Royal Kona next month. I have previously stayed in an Ocean Front room in the Lagoon Tower. I heard that they are doing renovations currently on Lagoon Tower. Was looking forward to still staying it Lagoon Tower. Does anyone have any knowledge on if there is a better tower than Lagoon, such as Bay Tower or Alii Tower.
Thank you in advance! :)
Staying at the Royal Kona Resort can be a great experience, and choosing the right tower really depends on what you prioritize — views, noise levels, or room size.
Lagoon Tower
- Lagoon Tower is located on the side closer to the swimming pool and lagoon area. Rooms here offer convenient pool access and some partial ocean views.
- Since there are renovations currently happening in the Lagoon Tower, you may experience some noise or construction activity, depending on timing and room location.
- If your priority is being right by the lagoon and pool area, this tower is convenient, but for ocean views, it may not be the best.
Bay Tower
- Bay Tower is closer to Kailua Bay, providing excellent ocean views from many rooms, especially higher floors.
- This tower is generally quieter than Lagoon Tower, since it is farther from the pool area and common facilities.
- Ideal for those looking for sunsets and a more serene environment.
Alii Tower
- Alii Tower is the newest tower and often considered the premium choice.
- Rooms are larger, modernized, and many have full oceanfront views.
- Located away from the main pool area, so it’s typically quieter and more private.
- If you want the best combination of ocean views, quiet, and modern amenities, Alii Tower is generally preferred over Lagoon or Bay Tower.
Overall, if renovations in the Lagoon Tower may impact your stay and you are looking for a quieter, more scenic experience, I would recommend considering Alii Tower for oceanfront views or Bay Tower for a quieter ocean-side room. If being close to the pool and lagoon is your priority, then Lagoon Tower is convenient but may come with some renovation-related disturbance.
