Exploring Bangkok isn't just about visiting malls or indulging in delicious food. If you're willing to slow down and wander into old neighborhoods, you'll discover countless surprises hidden within this city. This City Walk mural tour exceeded all my expectations!
Starting from BTS Saphan Taksin station, head towards Charoen Krung Road. Along the way, you'll pass through alleys and buildings untouched by tourists. But every turn into a corner might reveal a painted wall: from Thai mythological stories, depictions of local family life, to modern-style creations. The murals are vibrant, diverse, and feel like a secret art gallery within the city.
This City Walk took me about 2 hours, but the experience was far beyond what I anticipated. Highly recommended for anyone looking to see a different side of Bangkok. Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes and fully charge your phone—you'll be stopping frequently to snap photos!
Reasons to recommend:
① Hidden murals in alleys showcasing rich local culture and creative energy
② Accessible walking route, free to explore, no tickets required
③ Opportunity to visit unique coffee shops along the way and experience authentic local life
