When it comes to iconic autumn foliage spots, Kyoto is the place to be! Here's the second installment.
Photos ①②: Kennin-ji Temple
The leaves here tend to change color a bit later each year, so I visited at the beginning of December! The courtyard in these photos is absolutely stunning. I truly believe this is a must-see spot! These are two photos taken from different angles.
Photos ③④⑤⑥: Shoden Eigen-in, a sub-temple of Kennin-ji
Located very close to where photos ①② were taken, Shoden Eigen-in is a lesser-known spot, so it wasn't too crowded. I was able to take my time enjoying the view and snapping photos 😊. Visiting it together with Kennin-ji is highly recommended! The leaves here were also beautifully colored, with vibrant reds ✨.
While some areas in Kyoto can get extremely crowded, targeting lesser-known spots can lead to discovering hidden gems. Doing thorough research beforehand is key!
