Taiwan Accommodation Recommendations | Embrace a Night in the Forest at Phoenix Forest Sound

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and visit the "Phoenix Forest Song" cabins at the National Taiwan University Phoenix Mountain Nature Education Park. It's a journey of complete relaxation, both body and soul. The park is filled with a diverse array of flora and fauna, including Taiwan fir, fragrant fir, and golden datura. Particularly special was my chance to spot a white Phoenix tall-waisted snail, a species unique to Taiwan and rarely seen in the city. This remarkable sight made me appreciate the wonders of nature even more deeply.

The cabins offer different room types depending on the number of people staying. While there's no air conditioning, staying in the mountains doesn't require worrying about the heat. The cool air and breathtaking mountain views from the windows create a sense of escaping into paradise. The lounge chairs at the front door are the perfect place to relax and immerse myself in nature. The cabins are connected by stairs that wind through the forest, creating a sense of harmony with nature and a sense of tranquility.

As for food, buffets or set meals are available depending on the number of people. I enjoyed the sumptuous buffet, and whether it was chicken, fish, or a variety of fried vegetables, everything was fresh and delicious, satisfying my taste buds. In the evening, we also had an eco-guided tour, where a professional instructor led us through the park, meticulously introducing each plant and animal species. Along the way, we were lucky enough to encounter an adorable Ladusi's red frog. This little creature was incredibly cooperative, even posing for photos like a true model.

At night, far from the city's light pollution, the night sky was filled with stars, a breathtaking spectacle. This beautiful blend of tranquility and nature is a rare experience for me, living in a bustling city.

In the morning, I set foot on the park's 333-step trail, a symbol of relaxation and peace of mind. From the highest point, I could gaze out over the Alishan mountain range's main peak, a breathtaking experience both of nature's grandeur and of my own insignificance. At sunrise, the light refracted through the sea of clouds, creating a vibrant display of color. The scene was picturesque and captivating. The sight of birds circling and hunting in the sky added a touch of life to this natural landscape.

The park is filled with cherry blossoms, and the sight of them in full bloom in March is said to be truly magnificent, making it a must-see for cherry blossom enthusiasts. Unfortunately, I missed the season and will have to return next year. This trip not only allowed me to escape the stress of the city but also rediscovered my love for nature, allowing me to experience a complete relaxation of body, mind, and spirit. If you're looking to relax and connect with nature, this is a must-see!
