#Seoul Itinerary
Myeongdong Cathedral, the first Gothic building in South Korea, has a red brick spire that stands out in the urban jungle. This Catholic church was completed in 1898. The stained glass inside reveals sacred light and shadow, and the basement also preserves the baptism record of Sunjong, the last king of the Joseon Dynasty✝️. Climbing up the bell tower and looking down, the Seoul skyline and the Centennial Church Square form a touching contrast.
1898 Square, just a 3-minute walk away, has transformed a modern bank building complex into a hotspot for young people with artistic talents. Under the red brick archway, the aroma of coffee and books blend together ☕, and the retro vault door is transformed into an art exhibition room, which is even more romantic when the lights are turned on at night. The "Wheel of Time" installation art in the center of the square silently turns the story of Seoul from the late Joseon Dynasty to the present.
