North Korean-style Samgyetang Muguok Mukuya - a must-try

#AbsolutelyFreeTrip

Muguok Mukuya, a North Korean-style Samgyetang restaurant that I often saw on social media after 2025

I've been to Korea a few times, but I gave up on traveling alone...

I was happy to receive a T'way Airlines ticket as a gift at Trip.com's X (formerly Twitter) repost event❣️When I went to Korea in April✈️🇰🇷 with that ticket, I finally invited a friend who was visiting Korea at the same time and was able to visit.

Thank you

I also found out that it was OK for one person to come, so I tried visiting alone on my next trip to Korea~

Everything was delicious, from the rich soup, tender chicken, several types of dipping sauce, kimchi to kakuteki

The staff were nice and there was a Japanese menu

When I went with a friend, we also ordered spicy chicken. This was a large plate like a food fighter's. The bean sprouts were spicy because the flavor was soaked in, but the chicken was just the right amount of spicy

Is there garlic and dried carrots in the soup? I personally like to eat meat wrapped in sour kimchi.

When I arrived at the restaurant, I put my name on the waiting list. There were a lot of people waiting from quite early!

126-1 Sagan-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul

Road address
7 Yulgok-ro 1-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul

7 Yulgok-ro 1-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul

From Exit 1 of Anguk Station, turn right after you reach ground level.
From Exit 5 of Gyeongbokgung Station (where the Palace Museum is), after leaving Gyeongbokgung Palace,
From either side, head towards the large square called Yeolrin Square, enter the alley with the photo shop and turn left. 11:30-21:00 (break time 15:00-17:30)
The waiting list was supposed to start 30 minutes before, but by that time there were already a lot of people waiting! I recommend going early and signing up for the list.
