A visit to a historical fort in Singapore, Fort Canning

#singaporetrip
Fort Canning is a historical fort used to be the barracks and post used by the British during the colonial period, but excavations has proved that this place was already established during the Temasek Kingdom period in 1300s. There is even a tomb which is believed to be the tomb of Megat Iskandar, the first ruler of the Malacca Sultanate called the Keramat Iskandar Shah. Today, this fort and the area has became a historical site with lots of relics being displayed and the history being told in several galleries. You can also visit the post which the British used as a military base in the 1900s.
