The year is divided into four seasons: spring is full of vitality, summer is a hundred flowers in full bloom, autumn has a variety of mountains, and winter is a silvery and elegant season. Each season has its own unique characteristics, and choosing the right season can bring you the most breathtaking scenery. A few years ago, autumn still felt bleak and lonely in my heart, until I saw the colorful mountains at Pofengling. It was a painting created by nature for us.
That day we chose to stay at the Cotinus Coggygria Hotel, 2 kilometers away from the foot of the mountain. Next door was my grandmother's courtyard in Damingdingding. Every time I arrived at the parking lot, a woman I'd been told about the place came out to greet me and enthusiastically took me to the familiar Courtyard 5. I always stayed there, simply because I liked her (first from the left). Courtyard 5 has three bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen, easily accommodating seven people, including the soft couch. The room also came fully stocked with toiletries, so there was no need to bring anything extra.
The altitude difference of Pofengling is not much, and the slope is gentle and easy to climb. However, for someone like me who doesn't exercise often, the endless front is the biggest obstacle in my mind. There are meter marks every few steps on the stone steps of Pofengling. The starting point is 0 meters, and the top of the Yunshang Stone Roof is 600 meters. The King of Cotinus Coggygria is at 1700 meters, and Eagle's Beak Rock is further up. Although I have been to Pofengling several times, I have never walked the entire route. The highest point is 2500 meters. Due to the different altitudes of the mountain, the redness of the leaves varies greatly. The higher the altitude, the redder the leaves. The mountain path is easy to walk, but you must wear appropriate shoes. I think it is so easy to walk on that many people wear high heels.
There's a large market at the entrance or at the foot of the mountain, selling snacks like boiled corn, pancakes, stinky tofu, and fried tripe. You can also buy mountain products like green dates and dried persimmons.

Buses: Take bus No. 917 from Liuliqiao, then transfer to bus No. 32 to Huangshandian Village Entrance, which will take you to Pofengling Scenic Area. Bus Schedule: Simagou to Zhoukoudian Bus Station: 05:30-19:30; Zhoukoudian Bus Station to Simagou: 05:30-19:30.
Take the subway + taxi
Transfer from Line 9 (Guogongzhuang Station) to Fangshan Line (Yancun East Station) to Yanfang Line (Fangshan Chengguan Station) is very convenient. Just walk a few steps to the opposite side of the station to transfer. A taxi costs about 40 yuan.
