Juma River Iron Chain Bridge: The only way to enter the mountain gate

This is the only bridge leading to Legu Silver Beach, spanning the Juma River. Walking on it is a wobbly experience, quite fun. If there's no one else around, just stand here quietly and take in the beautiful scenery. With the clear blue Juma River flowing through it, someone might say, "Isn't this Beijing's Little Guilin?" It really does have a bit of Guilin vibe. I never imagined the Juma River's waters to be this good. After two years of river management, bamboo rafting is prohibited. As a result, the Juma River has now regained its long-lost beauty. Especially against the backdrop of the steep and towering peaks of Legu Silver Beach, this area is breathtaking. Fangshan's scenery is a magnificent painting.

Tingbu Bridge: Get up close and personal with the Juma River

This bridge runs parallel to the iron chain bridge and is paved with huge stones. Stepping on it, the cool water of the Juma River will instantly refresh you. The photos taken here are absolutely beautiful, and you'll definitely feel like you're in Guilin. If you want to pretend you're in Guilin, then come here.

Qingyun Glass Plank Road: An excellent place to overlook the beautiful scenery of the Juma River

After entering from the mountain gate, we chose to go hiking first and go up the right side to experience the glass plank road. This plank road is built on the main peak of Legu Silver Beach Scenic Area, atop the majestic Taihang Mountains. The 168-meter-long, 300-meter-high glass plank road boasts a 2-meter span and a 2-meter-wide glass panel, making it the longest, most dangerous, thrilling, and highest-drop glass plank road in North China. Built around the mountain, it resembles a yellow ribbon embedded in the mountains.

This is a superb viewing spot. Standing here, you can gaze out over the lush green waters, lush mountains, blue sky, and white clouds, all within your reach. Overlooking the turbulent Juma River flowing slowly beneath your feet, the mountains reflected in the water resemble a large-nosed old man – a breathtaking scene. To capture a good portrait here, be sure to find a bend in the river and shoot from above. This way, both the person and the Juma River are fully captured in the shot. If you're brave enough, you can also sit down and take the photo, but make sure to shoot when there are no people around to avoid disrupting traffic.

After walking along the glass plank road, you will reach the hiking trail inside the mountain. The plank road is over 8,000 meters long. Qingtian Glass Suspension Bridge: A Place of Love

Follow the hiking trail, turn a corner, and continue straight ahead to the Qingtian Glass Suspension Bridge. Perched between the cliffs of Tianzi Peak and Qingren Ridge, the bridge is visible from afar. The glass here is incredibly clear, offering a panoramic view of the canyon below. While those prone to heights would definitely not dare to ascend, challenging yourself requires courage. This tempered triple-laminated glass is incredibly strong, safe, and reliable. It's easy to get wet, so be sure to bring a swimsuit, a change of clothes, and sandals. Don't forget to wear sunscreen.

The rafting course is approximately 3.8 kilometers long, with a drop of 180 meters. It features over 10 lakes of varying sizes and over 300 high-speed jumps. Rafting down to the high-altitude swings is a game for the brave, but I don't have the guts to take it. One guy swung several times in a row—quite impressive! He seems to really enjoy the thrill.

Legu Town: A Food Hub

I think Legu Silver Beach is very user-friendly, with both the rest areas and food courts thoughtfully designed for visitors. Especially in the summer, when you're tired, hot, and hungry after a day of fun, sitting in the town with a bowl of liangpi noodles, donkey meat hot bread, or a bowl of cold noodles and an ice-cold beer will instantly revitalize you. The town is full of snacks, including xiaolongbao (small dumplings), vegetable dumplings, mung bean soup, ice cream, and more. If you don't like cold noodles, there are also various noodle dishes with gravy.

Cliff Crossing: A Game for the Brave

After eating and drinking, you still haven’t had enough fun, so let’s continue to experience the cliff crossing. I think this one is more thrilling than the previous one because you have to walk around the cliff without guardrails. It depends on who is brave enough.

This is the only cliff-top traverse in North China, over 200 meters long and 100 meters high. Inspired by popular European and American jungle traverses, Legu Silver Beach has ingeniously replicated this atop a cliff. Enter via a suspension bridge, suspended in mid-air for a thrilling experience. Turn onto the winding plank road, and overlook the neighboring cliffs, which will make your legs weak, but there's no danger. Safety ropes are provided for protection, so don't worry.

Cool Flying Rope

The Legu Flying Rope is a two-lane, one-way zipline that spans the Juma River between the Legu mountainside and the shore of Silver Beach. It's a thrilling experience, gliding from halfway up the mountain across the Juma River to the parking lot.

A perfect ending to our short trip. We had so much fun.

A pleasant journey is always so short. Before we had enough fun, our parents called the kids home. There's so much to do, so we'll save it for another time. If a day isn't enough, stay overnight at a nearby farmhouse or hotel. We stayed at the Yunze Mountain Villa Ecological Resort Hotel, just a few minutes' drive away. It's a four-star hotel with clean bedding and a beautiful mountain setting, with a pleasant cool breeze both morning and night. Breakfast is provided.
