Beijing has always been a travel destination I've longed to visit. As my country's political, economic, and cultural center, I've long dreamed of seeing its splendor. This autumn, I finally achieved my dream of arriving in Beijing, the heart of our motherland, and witnessing its splendor. As a Chinese, everyone should visit Beijing and see its splendor. Zhengyangmen, commonly known as Qianmen, Qianmenlouzi, and Daqianmen, was formerly known as Lizhengmen. It served as the southernmost gate of Beijing's inner city during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Located at the southernmost end of Tiananmen Square on Beijing's north-south central axis, south of the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, it was built in 1419, the 17th year of the Yongle reign of Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty, and was one of the "Nine Gates of the Capital" in old Beijing. Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall is China's highest memorial hall, dedicated to the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries, led by Comrade Mao Zedong, and serves as a national patriotic education center. Located at the southern end of Tiananmen Square, on Beijing's central axis, it boasts a total floor area of 28,000 square meters. Chairman Mao's remains lie in state here, along with memorials to the revolutionary achievements of Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi, Zhu De, Deng Xiaoping, and Chen Yun. I arrived at Tiananmen Square with a profound sense of solemnity and excitement. Grand and majestic, it's a place revered and cherished by people across the country. I personally hold a deep reverence for it. As a child, I remember the scenes of Tiananmen Square in movies that thrilled my generation. The majestic presence of Tiananmen Square stirred a flood of emotion and excitement.
Tiananmen Square records the indomitable revolutionary spirit and fearless heroism of the Chinese people. The May Fourth Movement, the December 9th Movement, and the May 20th Movement all left a strong mark on China's modern revolutionary history. It is also the site of countless major political and historical events, and a historical witness to China's decline and rise. Tiananmen Square. A vast and magnificent venue. Located in the heart of Beijing, on East Chang'an Avenue in Dongcheng District, it stretches from Tiananmen Square in the north to Zhengyangmen in the south, and from the National Museum of China in the east to the Great Hall of the People in the west. Spanning 880 meters from north to south and 500 meters from east to west, it covers an area of 440,000 square meters and can accommodate one million people for grand gatherings, making it the world's largest city square. The Monument to the People's Heroes is located in the center of Tiananmen Square in Beijing, on the north-south central axis, approximately 463 meters south of Tiananmen Square and 440 meters north of Zhengyangmen. It was built by the government of the People's Republic of China to commemorate the people's heroes who sacrificed their lives in the struggles against internal and external enemies, for national independence, and for the freedom and happiness of the people since 1840.
The Great Hall of the People is the meeting place of China's National People's Congress and the office of its Standing Committee. It is a key venue for political activities by the Party, the state, and various people's organizations, and a venue for political, diplomatic, and cultural events held by Party and state leaders and the general public.
The Monument to the People's Heroes stands in the center of the square. The eight characters "The People's Heroes Will Live Forever" reflect countless golden rays of light in the sunlight. The National Museum of China, also known as the National Museum of China, is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China. It is located east of Tiananmen Square and south of East Chang'an Avenue in the heart of Beijing, symmetrically located east to west with the Great Hall of the People. The National Museum of China, formerly the Museum of Chinese History and the Museum of the Chinese Revolution, is a renowned museum dedicated to the systematic collection of ancient, modern and contemporary Chinese history and precious cultural relics.
Tiananmen Square National Day Flowerbed. Since 1986, Tiananmen Square has decorated a large themed flowerbed in the center of the square each year, centered around the new features of the country's economic and social development. In 1986, the landscape was named "Tiananmen Square Sunshine" and was selected as one of the "Sixteen Scenic Spots of Beijing." The distinctively themed three-dimensional flower beds in Beijing's Tiananmen Square attract numerous citizens and tourists to take photos. The photo shows the "Blessing the Motherland" flower bed.
Xi Jinping once said: "China's yesterday is written in the annals of human history; China's today is being created by hundreds of millions of people; China's tomorrow will be even brighter." The entire Party, the entire army, and the people of all ethnic groups throughout China must unite more closely, remain true to our original aspiration, and bear in mind our mission. We must continue to consolidate and develop our People's Republic, and strive to achieve the "Two Centenary Goals" and realize the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!
The five-star red flag flying high
The majestic Tiananmen Square, the ancient Huabiao (Huazhu) pillars, and the majestic stone lions are imbued with the profound connotations of traditional Chinese culture and exude its spirit.
A pair of massive stone lions stands on each side of the Jinshui Bridge in front of Tiananmen Square. These four large white jade lions are exquisitely carved. According to the book "Chinese Lion Art," "These two pairs of stone lions were carved in the 15th year of the Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty (1417). They stand 2.5 meters tall, and with the base, they stand nearly 3 meters tall. Their heads are crowned with 13 knobs, making them the highest-grade stone lions according to contemporary regulations." The two pairs are meticulously proportioned, with wide, bulging eyes, slightly tilted heads, and half-grinned mouths. Their manes are neatly coiled into swirls. A small "round coin" pattern is emblazoned on their front legs. Their bodies are adorned with woven brocade sashes, and their chest ribbons feature rings, bells, and tassel pendants. The stone lions are made of a grayish-white stone with even light gray-green markings, which is highly resistant to weathering. Carved from a single block of stone, each with a uniform shape, size, and carving technique, they embody the craftsmanship of the Ming Dynasty and represent a representative form of northern stone lions.
