Beijing enters its most beautiful season after the beginning of autumn. Almost every day is sunny and the temperature is just right, making it perfect for going out and having fun! Last weekend, my friend and I went on a road trip to Yanqing. In addition to the popular Badaling Great Wall, there are actually many other fun places in Yanqing. This time, let me take you to a newly opened park - Yanqing Banquan Sports Park.
My friend is a person who particularly likes cycling. He told me that this newly opened park is especially suitable for cycling and taking pictures. The scenery is also very good. He took me, who is wearing a flowing skirt, to experience the joy of cycling!
A cycling race happened to be taking place at Banquan Sports Park on the day we arrived. We found out it was the 10th Beijing International Cycling Conference. All kinds of senior cyclists from Beijing were there, so many professional athletes were lined up at the entrance. It happened to be a sunny day, and everyone seemed in high spirits. This is the starting point of the cycling race! Good luck to everyone! Let's hurry over there! Since we were already here, my friend and I, two amateur cyclists, rented a bike each to give it a try. While we couldn't race like the pros, it was still nice to take it slow and enjoy the scenery. The cycling and running paths at Banquan Sports Park are exceptionally well-maintained, with clear signs indicating how much road you've ridden. It's considered a professional cycling track, no wonder it hosts a city-wide cycling competition. We checked and found that the West District of Banquan Park, where we're currently, has professional road cycling tracks with 5km and 10km laps, as well as a 33km hiking and fitness trail, which can definitely meet the needs of most professional and amateur athletes.
The pros are here! This pro carrying a huge flag is so impressive! I wouldn't be able to pedal with such a large flag. Everyone was very welcoming and even said hello when they saw us taking photos. We rode along, stopping occasionally to enjoy the breeze and sunshine. Looking up, we could see the rolling hills, flanked by lush forests and reed marshes. The weather was perfect for September, making for a very comfortable ride.
One moment I had a serious expression, and the next, it was gone!
Continuing along the track, the view suddenly opened up to a scenic rice paddy. It was now golden rice season, stretching into the distance in a splendid golden hue. It was truly stunning.
Rice fields are rarely seen in northern China, so as a southerner, seeing this paddy field was incredibly familiar. The water had already been drained from the paddy field, and the park had even designed ridges for walking inside, allowing for photos of people immersing themselves in the golden rice fields.
Capturing the golden autumn scenery in the rice fields.
Putting the bicycles in a row on the edge of the field is also very ceremonial! The park has also thoughtfully built a plank road above the rice paddies, where you can walk up to enjoy the scenery or take photos of the rice paddies and the boardwalk together. There are windmills and waterwheels in the distance. Together, the golden rice fields sway gently at the foot of Haituo Mountain, creating a truly photogenic scene.
Here are some photography tips:
If you're going for a road trip masterpiece, choose a winding road with the person and bike in the background of Mount Haituo for a well-layered shot. Once you're near the rice paddies, you can use the paddies as a backdrop for photos of both the bike and the rider.
For portraits, use a telephoto lens or wide aperture in the woods to create a more layered image.
If you want to take portraits of people in the rice fields, you can walk directly to the rice paddies and ask the photographer to capture the rice fields and mountains together, creating a beautiful picture.
Practical Tips:
🌟Banquan Sports Park. If you drive, locate the parking lot at the west gate of Banquan Sports Park in Yanqing, Beijing.
🌟Also, there is the World Grape Expo Park next to Banquan Park. It is also grape harvest season now, so you can visit it all in one day and exercise, take photos, and eat grapes. Isn't it wonderful!
🌟Currently, there are no food stalls in the park, so it is best to bring your own water and dry food to have a good time.
