The 12th Beijing Tulip Cultural Festival will be held at the Beijing International Flower Port from April 3 to May 10, 2021. The festival will last 38 days, spanning the Qingming Festival and May Day holidays. 1. Flower Exhibition
This year's cultural festival highlights the theme of tulip flowering, unique floral arrangements and distinctive garden landscapes. With an exhibition area of nearly 112,000 square meters, 73 varieties of tulips, 8 types of bulbs, and 33 types of spring and summer seasonal herbaceous flowers cover the entire scenic area. The floral exhibition is themed around "Flowers and Paintings," drawing inspiration from the painting styles and themes of 19th-century European oil painting master Claude Monet. Adhering to the design concepts of "innovation," "uniqueness," and "exquisiteness," the exhibition features a mosaic of European-style flower fields and a variety of bulbs, complemented by fresh seasonal herbaceous flowers. The florals serve as a backdrop to highlight the scenic area's natural beauty, creating an immersive new park experience for visitors. The exhibition is divided into four main areas: 1. The main tulip display area. With a "Dutch style" design theme, the exhibition utilizes colorful tulips, bands of color, blocks of color, and abstract floral forms to create a visually striking landscape. 2. The premium bulb display area. With the design theme of "Roman Paris," a combination of mixed plantings and flower borders creates a romantic and elegant springtime blossom viewing spot, a new highlight of the Tulip Show. 3. Seasonal open-field herbaceous flower display area. With the theme of "Roman Holiday," this area combines large seas of flowers with roadside flower strips to create a continuous landscape, effectively extending the Tulip Show until mid-June and linking the Rose and Lily Festivals. 4. Exquisite micro-landscape display area. With the theme of "Monet's Garden," this area rationally utilizes the park's resources according to local conditions, presenting a variety of landscape green sculptures, small scene pieces, and landscape sculpture combinations, full of French charm.
II. Activities During the Exhibition Period
(I) Cultural Experience
During the Tulip Cultural Festival, a calligraphy, painting, and handicraft exhibition featuring disabled people titled "Grateful to the Party, Praising the Party's Feelings" will be held to solemnly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party and extol the glorious and prosperous development of our great motherland. In collaboration with the Yangzhen Town Government, unique flower cultural activities will be held. Through flower exhibitions and cultural experiences, visitors will experience a visual feast and appreciate the unique charm of flower culture. Leveraging the natural beauty, starry sky, and vibrant flowers of Flower Harbor, as well as its recreational and leisure resources, a tent camping cultural festival will be held. Grassland music parties and open-air movies will invite visitors to embrace nature and experience the beauty of camping outdoors. The newly launched Beijing Shunyi 2021 Wedding and Photography Culture Festival will feature over 20 exhibitors offering a variety of interactive experiences, including lawn weddings, wedding room decorations, and mobile phone photography competitions. (II) Entertainment Experiences: Butterfly World, Asia's largest live butterfly viewing venue, spans 7,000 square meters and allows visitors to experience live butterflies up close, learn about butterfly science, culture, and art, and witness their magnificent transformation. The Damei Children's World Wonderland, inspired by flowers, offers dozens of fun non-powered rides, providing a space for intimate interaction with children. The natural and relaxing Pet Theme Park allows visitors to pet ostriches, peacocks, black swans, and other animals up close, experiencing the joys of nature and the wild. As Shunyi District's first A-rated scenic area bookstore, Shiyue Bookstore invites you to pause and savor life's often overlooked wisdom.

Overnight stay. Here, you'll find 12 zodiac-themed hotels, nestled away from the hustle and bustle, as well as unique tent camps. Here, you'll be surrounded by a sea of flowers and a starlit sky. Fall asleep to a star-filled sky and awaken to the chirping of birds and the fragrance of flowers in the morning. Find a luxurious, wild experience all your own. Enjoy the scenic area. The scenic area offers bicycles, electric vehicles, shared strollers, double-decker buses, and boat tours, making your flower-viewing adventure more convenient. The tulip bloom season falls within a new phase of normalized epidemic prevention and control. To ensure the safety of visitors, the scenic area is working tirelessly to prevent and control the epidemic. Online ticket reservations are implemented, and a 75% capacity limit is strictly enforced. Daily monitoring of park traffic is conducted using the smart scenic area and an online real-name reservation system. When visitor numbers increase, a contingency plan of "suspending entry" and restricting entry will be implemented. To ensure maximum safety, every visitor must make a reservation, present their Beijing Health Code ID, undergo a temperature check, be reminded to wear a mask, and be instructed to maintain a safe distance of 1.5 meters. Furthermore, comprehensive prevention and control measures, including disinfection and medical assistance, are in place within the scenic area to ensure a safe visit.

Driving Directions:
● Take the Beijing-Chengde Expressway to the Baima Road exit. Drive east along Baima Road for 26 kilometers. Turn left at Hongxia Road and head north for 700 meters.
● Take the Airport Expressway to Shunping Road, drive east for 16 kilometers. At the Limu Road intersection, turn left and drive onto Baima Road. Turn right and drive 1.9 kilometers to Hongxia Road, then turn left.
● Take the Airport Second Expressway to the Jingping Expressway, drive east for 18 kilometers to the Muyan Road exit. Turn left and drive north along Muyan Road for 15 kilometers. Turn left on Baima Road to arrive.
● Take the Jingcheng Expressway to the Changjin Road exit. Drive east along Changjin Road for 25 kilometers, turn right, and drive along Muyan Road for 15 kilometers. Turn left on Baima Road to arrive.
