🏨 Accommodation Recommendation: Hepingli Hotel

If you're planning a trip to Beijing, I highly recommend the Hepingli Hotel. It's conveniently located, well-equipped, and extremely comfortable. If you haven't finished your meal by the time you get to the hotel in the evening, a bowl of steaming hot porridge and a small snack is truly heartwarming. Goodnight porridge is served from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM, a huge thumbs-up. The hotel is located on Xinghua Road in Hepingli, Dongcheng District, between the North Second and Third Ring Roads. Its location is simply superb! Hepingli North Street Station on Metro Line 5 is just a stone's throw away, making transfers to both Beijing Railway Station and Capital Airport incredibly convenient. Buses like the 104 Express, 119, 123, and 407 also provide easy access to Beijing's attractions. This afternoon, the Yuan Dynasty Capital Ruins Park was bustling with visitors. The crabapple blossoms lining the Dongtu City Wall Ruins Park formed a vibrant stream, complemented by the historic ancient city walls. The stunning three-dimensional landscape of "people walking among the flowers, the city reflected in the water" was created. New this year, the ancient-style rowboats debuted. The crabapple blossoms formed a stream of spring, and petals fell from the boat's bow. The boat's bow, adorned with pink flowers, contrasted beautifully with the blossoms on both sides. As the boatman rowed, the clear waters created a scene of "crabapple blossoms forming a stream of spring, petals falling from the boat's bow"—a perfect spot for photo-taking! Important things to remember three times (the creative market inside the park sells unique handicrafts, cultural and creative products, and flowers, among other things).

🏰 Nanluoguxiang

Nanluoguxiang Night Tour: A Quiet Time in the Drum Tower and Hutongs. Exit the northwest exit of Nanluoguxiang subway station E and you'll find bustling Nanluoguxiang. Walking north along the alley, several hutongs extend westward. I chose Heizhima Hutong and Fangzhuanchang Hutong, home to a zhajiangmian (fried bean paste) restaurant and numerous small shops. The food is supposedly delicious.

Walking through the hutongs, the tranquil atmosphere is soothing. The sun slowly sets in the distance, giving me a sense of peaceful tranquility. The hutongs are incredibly narrow, so parking skills are a real test. The laundry drying in the hutongs is a true reflection of life in old Beijing.

The night view of the Drum Tower is truly captivating, especially under the cover of night, when the illuminated decorations make it even more beautiful. Be sure to listen to Zhao Lei's "Drum Tower" at night to experience the charm of this city.

The family's joyful and tiring day ended. Back at the hotel, the hotel clerk thoughtfully prepared a set of fruit and snacks. We planned to spend the next night in the hotel before heading out again.
