I really love walking.
Most of the time, I wander aimlessly, without navigation or maps.
This is my most comfortable state.
No rush, no sightseeing, no need to reply to messages, no need to think about work.
I just keep walking, and when I'm tired, I rest. A sunny day is best, and the moment after a sudden rain is also beautiful.
Last year, I didn't go home for Chinese New Year, choosing to spend it in Lijiang, Yunnan, and Lugu Lake.
Actually, I've been to Lijiang and Lugu Lake many times before. Yunnan is truly a magical place, with its brilliant sunshine, its mountains, rivers, and lakes rugged yet strangely gentle. The vegetable and flower markets are bizarre and strange, inexplicably intriguing and soothing.
When there aren't many tourists, no matter the season, Lijiang has a powerful healing power.
The sun is shining, the flowers are in bloom, and the leaves are golden.
I remember on the first day of the Lunar New Year, I bought a cup of milk tea and walked more than ten kilometers from Dayan to Baisha.
Apart from cars, there was no one else on the road.
Suddenly I felt a little lonely.
Soaking in the sun alone on Baisha Beach. That day, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and I were incredibly close.
There was a coffee shop open in town, and across the street in the tavern, a foreigner was singing an obscure English song.
I ordered coffee and dessert and basked in the sun, feeling drowsy. After sitting for a long time, we went to the Aihong Strawberry Farm to pick some strawberries. They were the best strawberries I've ever had—sweet, juicy, tiny, and incredibly delicious.
How wonderful it would be if I could live here and see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain every day when I opened the door.
On the way back, we passed Qingxi Reservoir.
I hope next time I go to Lijiang, I can find someone to go with me to Qingxi Reservoir to photograph the stars.
I passed by a closed B&B. There was a beautiful big tree at the door, and folk music was blaring from the speakers upstairs.
I got up early one day specifically to go to Zhongyi Market.
Busy shopping for New Year's goods, with Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the distance.
I found a small shop with very good business and waited in line for a long time to eat fried rice noodles.
Then I slowly strolled back to my hotel.
Even without tourists, the daisies on the roadside were still in full bloom. We should be like this daisy, blooming alone and passionately in the brilliant sunshine. For the passing wind, for the clouds on the horizon.
Besides that, the most important thing every day is to eat after waking up, take a stroll, look at the flowers, and bask in the sun.
Watch the mottled shadows of the trees on the red wall sway in the wind, and watch the fish swimming in the water.
I met an elderly couple on the road, trembling and supporting each other. It was a heartwarming experience.
I've walked around Lijiang pretty much everywhere, clocking in over 20,000 steps a day. While I haven't figured anything out or gained any insights, I've diligently enjoyed the gifts of nature—sunshine, rain, gentle breezes, bright moonlight, fresh flowers, and clear springs—every day, and I've made the most of it.
Leaving Lijiang, we headed for Lugu Lake. Passing by the Jinsha River Observation Deck, the sight of the turquoise waters was instantly heart-opening and joyful.
Why Lugu Lake?
It doesn't matter if you don't know the answer, just follow the direction in your heart.
Compared to Zizai Galan in Sanjia Village, I have a deeper connection with the Zizai Lover Tree.
Picking stones with my dog by the lake, he almost jumped into the lake and fed the red-billed gulls with rice candy.
My favorite lake, apart from Sailimu Lake, is Lugu Lake.
Perhaps it's because there are so many memories left. It's witnessed you slowly growing up, slowly becoming more sensible, the light in your eyes gradually dimming, and the fire in your heart faltering.
It's witnessed you slowly growing older and slowly becoming younger.
Our boat is docked at the dock.
How can you reach Lugu Lake without a boat? The road to your destination is long and difficult. Lugu Lake's boat will help you get there.
Going to photograph the starry sky with friends. Taking pictures of seagulls.
Taking photos of the forest with fallen leaves.
Take a picture of the deserted wooden bridge.
Take a picture of the rippling lake.
Photograph the ripples of time.
Photograph the wooden stakes of memory.
You must love the sound of the wind in the wilderness, and love yourself who stumbles but never stops moving forward through time.
