I checked the weather on April 15th and it said that it would rain in Zhuhai for the next week, which might have an impact on my work, so I wanted to go out for a walk. Since it was May Day and summer vacation coming up, it would probably be even more difficult to travel, so I decided to go on a trip. My destination was to go to Meili Snow Mountain to see the golden mountain in the sun. After looking up some information, I set off without hesitation.

I am a car fan (train fan), so let's take a car to go! , my mode of transportation this time is as follows:

Soon after the train arrived at Guangzhou South Station, we took a train to Kunming. Everyone should remember to bring earphones when traveling by train, otherwise the various noises in the train will annoy you to death. The most annoying thing is that someone nearby is talking on the phone, and the sound of their dog pooping will spread throughout the entire car. Wearing earphones can reduce the occurrence of these things. Sometimes I am really impressed. Not long after the train left Guangzhou South Station, about 10 minutes later, people started eating instant noodles. I was really impressed. If you don’t eat while waiting for the train at the station, the smell of instant noodles on the train from Guangzhou to Kunming will make you feel uncomfortable. Kunming kept appearing, and we got off the bus in Zhaoqing, Guigang, Nanning, and Baise to take videos. In this section, the signals from Yunfu to Wuzhou and from Baise to Mile were not very good, but the other sections were okay. Some people say that you should bring a book you want to read when traveling. There is no way, it is more practical to listen to music and look at the scenery outside the window than to read. After the bus arrived at Kunming South Station, everyone remember that if you want to take a bus to Kunming Station, it is best to take the bus directly to Kunnan Station in the station, so that you don’t have to go outside to take the bus, after all, there will be traffic jams.

We departed for Lijiang around 9:30 pm. This is a double-decker tourist train with all sleeper cars. It arrived in Lijiang at 7 am and the fare was more than 123 yuan, which is much cheaper than the high-speed train and you can also save one night's accommodation. If you are traveling on a budget or want to spend a day in Kunming before going to Lijiang, this train is definitely the first choice. There is charging on the train and there are quite a few places to charge, but the power is cut off after the lights are turned off. Only soft sleepers can charge. Or you can rent a power bank in the dining car for 4 yuan per hour. Mine was the lower sleeper car. There was a young lady sitting opposite me. I thought God had given me the opportunity to have a romantic encounter. NND, the young lady said that her boyfriend was in the other car. Could we change to another car? Well, I didn't feel like it anymore. I wish you a trip of three in 10 months.

One more thing to say to those who are more clumsy, this train is in-line. Do you see that I took photos of the bathroom? The things you pull out are directly discharged onto the railway tracks. So when you go to the toilet, be sure not to bring anything other than tissues, otherwise you will fall out and it will be terrible. In fact, there are fewer trains with in-line cars now.

Because I didn't want to go to bed early, I went to the dining car to see if there was anything to eat. The restaurant decoration is nice, and the food is expensive, depending on your consumption level. I ordered a pack of beer and snacks. Beer is 16 yuan, and Budweiser is 18, which is a lot cheaper than bars. I took this train a few years ago. There was a karaoke bar in the last section, but it has been changed now. Has anyone ever taken a train with karaoke and a bar? There are also many people who bring instant noodles to eat in the dining car. When will they change the habit of eating instant noodles?

The bus arrived on time in the morning. In fact, the bus stopped in Heqing for a while at 5 o'clock. I don't know if it was because the people at the station hadn't gone to work yet, so it stopped for a while. The AD calcium milk bus next to it goes to and from Shangri-La, and the train to Yunnan and Tibet should also use this bus.

Regarding accommodation, many people like to live in houses with courtyard decorations in the ancient city. Basically, people who come to travel agencies for the first time like to live like this. I have been here for the Nth time, so I am not interested in the so-called characteristic homestays. This time I stayed in a hotel outside the big waterwheel, which was priced at around 400 yuan. It was also convenient to go to the ancient city at night. Eating in the ancient city is much more expensive than outside. After all, the rent is expensive, which is understandable. It cost more than 1,300 yuan for dinner + bar hanging out.

In the bars in the ancient city, you can't sing after 12 o'clock in the evening, so you have to go to the bars early. I brushed XX times and always brushed a bar called "Drunken Country Folk Songs". There were several aunts singing. It took a long time to find it with the navigation. It's a pity that the girl I was traveling with didn't like it. As a result, we went back to the bar street and my Lijiang story ended like this!

The night before departure, we carpooled to Feilai Temple. This time we wanted to see the sunrise over the Meili Snow Mountain from here. Let me tell you something. After you post a carpool, many people will send you messages asking you to cancel your online order and transfer it directly to them. I suggest that you don't do this. I carpooled until 8 o'clock this morning, but arrived at 8:20. When I got to Shangri-La, they asked me to take another car. Fortunately, it was the front seat, otherwise I probably wouldn't have gotten on the car. It takes 3.5 hours from Shangri-La to Feilai Temple. After driving for an hour, you'll find that it's winding around the mountain. I hate those who overtake on the side, which can easily cause a collision. There were 6 people in the carpool, three of whom went to Feilai Temple and three went to Yubeng. After the car passed the Red Army Memorial Hall, on the right was Ganzi, Sichuan, and then it started to climb up. The scenery on both sides was also good, so I asked the driver to stop and take pictures.

The highest point the car passed this time was a pass in Baima Snow Mountain at over 4,000 meters. It passed through Deqin County and arrived at Feilai Temple in 3.5 hours!

My friend told me to find a hotel locally, so the scenery would be better.

Here is another routine for everyone. The pictures of the hotels you see online are obviously the best in the whole place. When you go to the local hotel, they will tell you that if you book a room on the first floor online, you won’t be able to see any scenery. It’s really bullshit. So it’s better to find a hotel with a good view on site, unless you don’t have any requirements for the scenery, then just go with it.

The food here is also expensive. I talked to a restaurant owner and he said there was no way. The transportation was inconvenient and the transportation cost was expensive, so it was understandable. I really don’t think the hairy beef is delicious. Anyway, people who are sensitive to consumption bring their own food. There is no way, otherwise you will say that the locals are all black shops and charge so much!

The hotel I stayed in tonight is 420 on the first floor, 450 on the second floor and 650 on the sixth floor. I booked a room on the second floor facing the Meili Snow Mountain view, including breakfast, a simple breakfast, heating, and free oxygen in the room. The price is reasonable. The time is wrong and there is no starry sky at night.

The next morning I went to watch the sunrise at 6:30 am and found a good spot. However, the weather was not right, so I had a lonely time. But for first-time visitors, it was still good. I just couldn't see the feeling of watching the videos posted by others. I asked the hotel staff and they said that the best time is from the end of October to February of the following year. I plan to come again after the Zhuhai Air Show this year.

As for whether there is altitude sickness, as a Guangdong native, I did not have altitude sickness this time, but it does not represent you. You should judge for yourself. Because time does not permit, I did not go to Yubeng this time. I will go there again in November. The beautiful encounter will be left for later. In the morning, I made an appointment for a ride back to Shangri-La.

The driver was from Qujing. She came back from Lhasa and took a ride. As a result, she talked about what she encountered in Tibet along the way. The driver was much better than the last time she came.

I've been to Shangri-La more than four times. This was my first time taking a bullet train from here to Lijiang. The station looks really nice. I'm really excited.

Shangri-La is the place that has changed its name successfully, no doubt about it. It used to be called Zhongdian, and now it has changed its name and it is really great.
