Washington DC to M&T Bank Stadium Baltimore

Hi. Would appreciate info on getting from central DC to a Baltimore Ravens game on a Sunday without a car, please. We have seen that the MARC line runs from Union Station to Camden Station which is close to the stadium but the schedule shows it doesn't run on Sundays in October but does it run on game days on Sundays? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Traveling from central Washington, DC to a Baltimore Ravens game at M&T Bank Stadium is absolutely doable without a car, but it’s important to know that the MARC Camden Line does not run on weekends, including Sundays, even on Ravens game days. MARC does not add special Sunday service for NFL games.

Because of that, you’ll need to use one of the other transportation options that operate daily—most visitors choose Amtrak or the commuter bus option.

Below is a detailed breakdown of your options:

1. Amtrak from Union Station to Baltimore Penn Station

  • Runs every day, including Sundays — this is the easiest and most reliable car-free option.
  • Travel time: about 30–40 minutes.
  • Arrival station: Baltimore Penn Station.
  • From Penn Station to the stadium: Take the free (on game days) “Ravens Gameday Shuttle” on the Light Rail, or take the Light Rail regular service (normally inexpensive). Ride it south to Hamburg Street Station, right next to the stadium.
  • Cost: Typically $6–$15 depending on the train/time, but sometimes more during peak times.

This combo—Amtrak + Light Rail—is the most common method for DC visitors attending Ravens games.

2. WMATA + Maryland Transit Express Bus (Commuter Bus 305)

  • This bus runs DC to Baltimore only on weekdays and not on Sundays.
  • Because of this schedule, it’s not suitable for Sunday games.

3. Coach buses (occasionally available)

  • Some game-day charter buses or private operators may run from DC to Baltimore, but these are not regular or guaranteed.
  • If available, these can drop you near Inner Harbor or Camden Yards. But most seasons there is no consistent service to rely on.

4. Rideshare (Uber/Lyft)

  • A direct ride from DC to M&T Bank Stadium takes roughly 50–70 minutes.
  • Cost: Often $60–$110 each way, depending on demand.
  • This is convenient but expensive, and you’ll deal with extreme traffic near the stadium on game days.

5. Renting a car for the day

  • Lowest hassle for timing but requires you to drive and find parking.
  • Parking near the stadium must usually be purchased in advance.

Which Option Is Best?

For almost all visitors without a car, the Amtrak + Light Rail combination is the best and simplest solution. It is fast, reliable, avoids stadium traffic, and works perfectly on Sundays. The Light Rail drops you right at the stadium gates, making the last part of the trip very easy.

Important Note About MARC: The MARC Penn Line does run 7 days a week, but it arrives at Baltimore Penn Station (not Camden), so you still need the Light Rail to reach the stadium. This is a valid alternative to Amtrak, but Penn Line Sunday service is more limited.

In summary: MARC Camden Line won’t be an option for your Sunday game, but you can easily get to M&T Bank Stadium using Amtrak or MARC Penn Line plus the Light Rail connection.
